Turkey’s Ruling party candidate elected mayor in Bitlis

Nesrullah Tanglay bags 44.31 percent of votes in local elections

ANKARA (AA) - Ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party's candidate has been elected mayor of Turkey’s eastern Bitlis province in local elections on Sunday.

Nesrullah Tanglay bagged 9,911 votes, while opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) got 7,417 votes, according to the unofficial results.
