ANKARA (AA) – The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) distributed 50 wheelchairs to disabled Mexicans on Friday, the agency said.
The state-run agency provided wheelchairs to disabled students at the Improvement Institute for Disabled People’s Integration (IIDPI) in capital Mexico City, according to a statement.
IIDPI director Fidel Perez De Leon thanked TIKA officials and Turkey for the support, the statement read.
TIKA also recently renovated the oldest Chilean As-Salam Mosque in the capital Santiago on the instructions of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who visited the country in 2016.
The mosque’s exterior wall, dining hall, ablution area, roof and landscape underwent renovation.
