ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Airlines on Tuesday said some of its flights to France had been cancelled due to a major public sector strike in the country.

According to the airline, France’s civil aviation authorities issued a warning due to the strike as millions of workers -- including those in French airports -- protest government labor reforms and planned job cuts.

Turkish Airlines said flights between Istanbul Ataturk Airport-Paris, Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport- Paris, Istanbul-Lyon, Istanbul-Marseille, and Istanbul-Nice had been cancelled.

Some 5.4 million public sector workers in France will walk out on Tuesday, with almost 130 gatherings and events planned across 90 French departments.

It is the fourth major industrial action since French President Emmanuel Macron came to power last May.
