The consumer confidence index gained 0.3% from a month ago to 85.1 points in June, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said.

This followed a 1.1% monthly rise in May, when the index was at 84.8 points.

The sub-index measuring households' current financial situation rose 0.4% in June from a month ago, while household financial situation expectations for the next 12 months increased 0.6%.

The expectations for the general economic situation for the next 12 months also rose 0.3% in the same period.
