ISTANBUL (AA)—Turkish modular building manufacturer Karmod delivered the toilet cabins built for the blue flag beaches in Türkiye's western province of Balikesir.
Karmod offers practical toilet cabin solutions featuring panel-based structures for public beaches, according to a statement from the company.
The dual toilet cabins, produced as part of a project by the Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality, have been put into service at Balikesir's Blue Flag beaches of Sarimsakli, Altinkum, Altinoluk, and Erdek.
Karmod's General Manager Zekai Kucuk explained that their mobile toilet cabins provide practical solutions for public areas like beaches.
Kucuk added that the toilet cabins can be used for long periods of time in areas such as public beaches, national parks, tourist areas, and sporting event venues.
"We can implement alternative units such as toilets, Turkish-style floor tiles, or shower trays inside the cabins. Our toilet cabins' waste, clean water, and electrical systems are prefabricated for connection to central networks," he said.
"The prefabricated clean water system can be used by connecting it to the central network or a storage tank. Wastewater is also connected to the central sewer system. In locations where there is no network, it can be stored in a waste tank," he noted.
Kucuk said the cabins, measuring 135x210 centimeters, eliminate the need for on-site construction, and that they can be put into service the same day they are shipped, with their electrical and water systems connected to central networks.
