ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish firm Karmod’s storage tanks will be used in Adblue production in Italy.

Karmod’s 20-ton polyethylene tanks were sent to the Adblue production facility in Treviso, near Venice city in northern Italy.

Karmod Plastic Group Sales Manager Selcuk Kaya said the storage tanks are specially produced for Adblue production.

Kaya emphasized that the company products are popular in the European market, saying: "As it is known, Adblue is a chemical substance that allows diesel engine vehicles to operate in a more environmentally friendly manner and contributes to reducing air pollution."

“The EU and the German Association of the Automotive Industry certification system audit Adblue production across Europe.”

He said Karmod produces polyethylene tanks with technical specifications based on these inspections.

For this reason, he added, the tanks are attracting interest in European countries as storage tanks for special chemicals such as diesel oil and acid, along with Adblue.

He noted that the alternative transportation possibilities from Türkiye to European countries facilitate the export of tanks where liquid food products such as water and chemical products are stored.

Kaya stressed that they produced 11 units of 20-ton polyethylene storage tanks within the project’s scope: “Adblue-specific sleeves and connection equipment were used in the tanks.”

He stressed that The production the firm loaded on three trucks was transferred from Istanbul to Trieste port by Ro-Ro transportation.

He added that storage tanks with a total capacity of 220 tons will be used in all processes from the fermentation stage of Adblue production to post-production storage.
