ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish modular structures manufacturer Karmod on Friday said it has produced and shipped office and security cabins for use at Conakry Port, the largest seaport in the Republic of Guinea.
A total of 25 prefabricated cabins have been manufactured for use as security posts, offices, and information points at the port located in the capital Conakry, according to a company statement.
Zekai Kucuk, general manager of Karmod Cabin, said the company is proud to have its structures selected for one of West Africa’s most strategic Atlantic gateways.
“We offer practical building solutions with our ready-to-use cabins that eliminate lengthy construction phases,” Kucuk said.
“Thanks to their mobility and ergonomic design, our cabins are ideal for high-traffic areas like ports, where they can be easily relocated when needed,” he said.
The Conakry Port, which spans 271,000 square meters with a 1,750-meter-long quay and an annual handling capacity of 12.5 million tons, will use the cabins for long-term security, administrative, and public information purposes, Kucuk added.
The units were built using Karmod’s Composite Thermoset Polyester (CTP) model, designed for year-round durability. The cabins were fully equipped, including electrical installations, and produced in two sizes: 150x270 cm for security and information booths, and 270x390 cm for office use.
All units were delivered directly to Conakry Port via sea transport, the company said.
