ANKARA (AA) - A subsidiary company for the Turkish contractor Ronesans Holding will construct an additional terminal building for Amsterdam's main Schiphol Airport, the company said Thursday.

The Amsterdam-based Ballast Nedam will build a new pier, gatehouses and the surrounding aircraft stands.

The new 55,000-square-meter terminal building is planned to be completed in 2019.

It will be fitted with 5,000-square-meter solar panels.

The three-story terminal building will have security and customs control points, stores and food court.

The new extension building is expected to be used by international passengers.
