ISTANBUL (AA) – A Turkish medical firm INVAMED's Varicose Vein Closure System, VenaBlock has received approval from the participating doctors at the World Congress of Phlebology, as it has recorded a 96% success rate in tests, spanning over five years.
Organized by the International Union of Phlebology in Istanbul, the event was the first surgical congress in Türkiye.
VenaBlock, which is also known as "Turkish Glue" globally, was developed by Turkish scientists in INVAMED Laboratories.
Rasit Dinc, the head of INVAMED, said the congress, which hosted participants from 56 countries on five continents, was productive.
He said: "We talked about Türkiye's innovations and studies in the health sector.
"Thanks to the technologies we produce in our country, we are now able to export our products to more than 70 countries with the brand 'Made in Türkiye.'"
He added that the country can manufacture all these products thanks to its scientists, domestic firms, and universities.
