ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Wednesday received several members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) in Ankara.
Theoretically, the 132-seat PLC serves as a parliament for the Palestinian territories.
The lawmakers’ current visit to Turkey comes within the framework of an inter-parliamentary friendship group.
“At today’s meeting, we [the Turkish government] reiterated our strong support for the state of Palestine and its people,” Cavusoglu tweeted after meeting the lawmakers.
