ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Super Lig club Kasimpasa announced Thursday that two of its staffers had tested positive for COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by coronavirus.

Isolation, follow-up, and treatment processes of the patients have begun in line with the set protocols, it said in a statement.

The infections, the club added, were confirmed after a second testing of all employees including players and technical staff.

Earlier in the day, Besiktas, another Super Lig club, confirmed that eight of its staffers, as well as the chairman, had contracted the virus.

Football leagues in Turkey, which were suspended in March, are set to resume next month.

The paused top-tier Super Lig competitions will return on June 12.
