ADANA, Turkey (AA) - Security forces in southern Turkey arrested 15 people early Friday for alleged links to the PKK terror group.

Anti-terror police in Adana province launched an operation to prevent the activities of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization.

Eight people who were found to have taken part in illegal demonstrations of the organization and seven who published terror propaganda on social media were arrested with the help of special operations police.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
