ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas spoke on the phone Friday about the outcome of the Istanbul peace talks, according to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources.
The call centered on assessing the outcomes of the talks.
The Istanbul meeting, which Türkiye hosted as part of its mediation efforts, concluded after nearly two hours of closed-door discussions.
The officials expressed an openness to advancing dialogue and agreed to swap 1,000 prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine -- the largest number since the conflict began more than three years ago.
