ANKARA (AA) - Turkish foreign minister will visit Strasbourg, France on Tuesday to attend celebrations on the 70th anniversary of the Council of Europe, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
“Minister [Mevlut] Cavusoglu will visit Strasbourg on 1 October 2019 on the occasion of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Council of Europe, as the Honorary President of its Parliamentary Assembly,” the ministry said in a statement.
It added that Cavusoglu will meet Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejcinovic Buric, President of the Parliamentary Assembly Lilane Mauty Pasquier and former Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland during his visit.
