Turkish, French presidents talk on phone

Leaders discuss Syria, Iraq, counterterrorism

ANKARA (AA) - President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation on Tuesday with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron about counterterrorism and recent developments in Syria and Iraq, according to a Turkish presidential source.

The leaders discussed regional issues, alongside bilateral relations, said the source, who spoke anonymously.

Erdogan and Macron emphasized the importance of joint action against terrorism.
