KARACHI, Pakistan (AA) – A top Turkish general met with the head of Pakistan's army at their headquarters near the capital Islamabad on Tuesday.
General Salih Zeki Colak, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, spoke to Pakistan's General Raheel Sharif about defense, security cooperation, training and measures for regional stability, said a statement from Inter Services Public Relations, the Pakistani army's media wing.
Colak earlier laid a floral wreath at a memorial for soldiers killed in the First World War and was given a Guard of Honor by an army contingent.
The Turkish delegation is also scheduled to visit Pakistani training institutions, including the recently established National Counter Terrorism Center in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province, the statement added.
