Turkish military cargo aircraft crashes in Georgia

Search, rescue operations have begun in coordination with Georgian authorities, says Turkish Defense Ministry

A Turkish C-130 military cargo aircraft en route from Azerbaijan has crashed in Georgia, the Turkish Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

“Search and rescue operations have begun in coordination with Georgian authorities,” the ministry said on the US social media company X.

There was no immediate information on how many people were on board the aircraft or possible casualties.
