Turkish military chief visits Jordanian capital

Gen. Akar’s visit comes a day after Turkish foreign minister met Jordan king, counterpart in capital Amman

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish military chief is traveling to Jordan as part of an official visit on Tuesday, the Turkish military said in statement.

Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar will arrive in Jordanian capital Amman.

On Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also visited Amman and met Jordanian King Abdullah II and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi.

The importance of bilateral cooperation and the sensitive issue of Jerusalem were among the topics of their agenda.
