ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish mining company CS Global Group plans to invest $10 million to build a manufacturing facility in the US state of West Virginia, the state’s governor announced late on Thursday.

The manufacturing plant in Moundsville is set to be operational in the first quarter of 2022 and will create 47 new full-time jobs in the area, Governor Jim Justice said in a statement.

"We’re really building something incredible in West Virginia and I want to thank CS Global Group for coming here and adding another brick to our strong economic foundation,” he added.

Active in over 60 countries, the Turkish company produces and sells barium sulfate, which is used in the oil and gas drilling industry and also has other industrial applications.

The company is officially incorporated in West Virginia as ADO Industries Inc., according to the statement.

“West Virginia offers easy access to major cities, and from our experience so far, it’s so welcoming with hospitality, a warm and friendly network and agencies,” said Cem Sak, the firm’s chairman.
