ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish prefabricated construction firm Karmod has delivered a portable office building to support operations at a gold mining site in Ivaylovgrad city of Bulgaria, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The 144-square-meter office, assembled from 10 demountable container units, will serve the mine for at least seven years. Karmod said the structure was transported on a single truck and installed by a two-person team in just six days.

Muzaffer Dogrul Erguclu, Karmod’s foreign trade manager, said the new facility highlights the company’s third-generation container design, which uses a bolt-and-nut system with interlocking panels rather than welding.

"This system offers advantages from shipping to installation, enabling quick setup while minimizing costs," he said.

Erguclu added that ergonomics and climate-control features make the units suitable for harsh mining environments.

"Our energizing office solutions are increasingly chosen by mining projects across different countries, reinforcing our brand’s recognition in the sector," he said.

The company said that its demountable, modular system allows more square meters of space to be shipped per truckload, reducing logistics costs for mining investors seeking fast deployment.
