ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's Besra Duman won a bronze medal in the World Para Powerlifting Championship in the Mexican capital late Tuesday, according to the event's Twitter account.
The 16-year-old, who competed in the women's under 50 kg weight class, managed to lift 106 kg.
Egypt's Rehab Ahmed claimed the gold medal, while Vietnam's Dang Thi Linh Phuong came second.
The world championship is being held in Mexico City within the scope of the 2017 Para Sport Festival which began Saturday.
The seven-day Para Sport Festival is due to end on Dec. 8.
