Turkish PM to attend Somalia conference in London

Conference will be held on May 10-12 to plan new international partnerships for peace and prosperity in Somalia

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim will attend the London Somalia Conference 2017 to be held on May 10-12, a statement said on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Ministry, Yildirim would pay an official visit to London to attend the conference which will discuss future decisions on Somalia for the 2017-2020 period.

The Somali government and international partners, including Turkey will attend the conference to plan the new international partnerships for increasing peace and prosperity in Somalia.

During his visit, the Turkish premier will also attend bilateral talks and meet with the press and investment circles.

The statement stated that Yildirim's participation will emphasize Turkey’s continuing support and efforts for stability and development in Somalia at international platforms.
