Turkish police detain three Daesh suspects

Suspects -- including organization's 'chemist and bomber' -- held in anti-terror operation in southeast Turkey

GAZIANTEP, Turkey (AA) – Turkish anti-terror police detained three Daesh suspects -- including the organization's "chemist and bomber" -- in the southeastern province of Gaziantep on Thursday, according to the local governorship.

The three suspects -- identified as Talha Gunes, Abdulmubtalip Demir and his wife Gamze Demir -- were detained by police. All three were on the Turkish Interior Ministry's wanted list.

The suspects had been wanted on suspicion of preparing a sensational attack in the Turkish province.

One of the trio, Talha Gunes, has been dubbed the organization's “chemist and bomber”.

Police also seized 20 kilograms of TNT, an explosive belt, three grenades and a pistol during a search of the suspects’ homes.
