ANKARA (AA) - President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Wednesday at an official reception ceremony in the capital Ankara.

Abdullah II arrived in the capital late Wednesday afternoon for an official visit, following an invitation by Erdogan.

The first ladies, Turkey's Emine Erdogan and Jordan's Queen Rania, accompanied the leaders at the ceremony.

The two leaders will hold talks on bilateral relations and regional development, according to a statement released by the Jordanian Royal Court.

They will hold a joint news conference following one-on-one and inter-delegational meetings.

The visit comes after Erdogan visited the kingdom in August.

Jordan and Turkey are commemorating 70 years of diplomatic relations.
