SOFIA, Bulgaria (AA) - The Turkish Red Crescent on Wednesday distributed 1,000 food aid packages in Bulgaria.
As part of the ongoing campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, the aid agency distributed food packages in Bulgaria’s northern cities of Shumen, Targovishte, Razgrad and southern city of Plovdiv.
The packages included sunflower oil, tomato paste, sugar, olives, rice and pasta.
During Ramadan the Turkish Red Crescent also delivered aid in various countries such as Palestine, Ethiopia, Georgia, Senegal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Turkish Red Crescent aims to reach a total of 10 million people during the Holy month of Ramadan.
