AGRI, Turkey (AA) - One Turkish soldier, who was injured on Wednesday in a clash with PKK terrorists in eastern Turkey, succumbed to his wounds at a hospital, a statement said.
In the statement, Agri Governor’s Office said four PKK terrorists were also killed in the clash that took place in Eleskirt district the province.
The soldier injured in the clash was rushed to Agri State Hospital, where he breathed his last.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU and U.S. -- has killed more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including women and children since the end of a fragile peace two years ago.
