Turkish soldiers get training to combat women violence

Defense Ministry trains more than 680,000 soldiers

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's Ministry of National Defense on Monday announced that it has given trainings to 680,193 soldiers to combat violence against women.

Under the National Action Plan for Combating Violence Against Women, the Defense and Labour and Social Security Ministries collaborated on women empowerment.

As part of the program, more than 10,000 personnel were trained to sensitize other soldiers.
