ANKARA (AA) - Turkish sprinter Ramil Guliyev took fifth in an elite track and field competition organized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) on Friday.
In the eighth IAAF Diamond League meeting of this season, the 29-year-old athlete ended the competition in the fifth spot with a time of 20.01 seconds in the men’s 200-meter final.
The competition was held in Switzerland’s Lausanne.
Noah Lyles from the U.S. won the gold medal with a time of 19.50 seconds.
Meanwhile, Alex Quinonez from Ecuador came second, tallying a time of 19.87 seconds.
In addition, Canadian Andre de Grasse finished third with a time of 19.92.
