Turkish stock exchange begins day up

BIST 100 earns 11.8 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,461.21 points, up 0.11% or 11.85 points.

On Monday, the BIST 100 was down 2.61% at 10,449.36 points with a daily transaction volume of 105.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.56 billion).

As of 10.25 am local time (0725GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.2750 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.6030 to the euro, and 56.0780 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,648.70, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.55 per barrel.
