Turkish stock exchange begins Tuesday up

BIST 100 gains 24.5 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock opened Tuesday at 11,304.45 points, up 0.22% or 24.5 points.

On Monday, the BIST 100 was down 0.07% at 11,279.95 points with a daily transaction volume of 114 billion Turkish liras ($2.77 billion).

As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.1480 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.1690 to the euro, and 55.5790 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,486.10, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.55 per barrel.
