Turkish stock exchange begins week down

BIST 100 falls 14.36 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock opened Monday at 10,357.68 points, down 0.14% or 14.36 points.

On Friday, the BIST 100 was down 0.1% at 10,372.04 points with a daily transaction volume of 99 billion Turkish liras ($2.4 billion).

As of 10.30 am local time (0730GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.3780 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.6130 to the euro, and 56.2540 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,636.50, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67 per barrel.
