Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,857.39 points, falling 0.33% or 32.32 points from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 1.35% to close the day at 9,889.71 points, with a daily transaction volume of 60 billion liras ($1.71 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.3565 as of 9.53 a.m. (0653GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.7850, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.3659.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,618.79 and the price of Brent crude oil was around $74.72 per barrel.
