ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 10,640.86 points, up 0.61% from the previous close.
After starting the day at 10,655.66, the BIST 100 index climbed 64.41 points from its close on Tuesday.
The lowest for the index was 10,581.02, while the daily high was 10,706.60.
A total of 46 indexes gained in value during the day, while 53 closed in the red.
The daily transaction volume reached 122.3 billion Turkish liras ($2.89 billion), while the overall value of the index was 9.94 trillion liras ($235.7 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 42.2425 as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 48.9630, and the British pound traded at 55.4325.
Gold was at $4,166.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was at $63.25.
