ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at the new all-time high of 11,477.80 points, up 0.93% from the previous close.
After starting the week at the previous record high of 11,467.97 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 105.47 points from Friday's close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 11,447.19, while its daily high was 11,519.64.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 10.67 trillion Turkish liras ($261.19 billion), with a daily trading volume of 142.9 billion Turkish liras ($3.48 billion).
During the day, 81 stocks on the index rose and 15 fell compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,374.30, while Brent crude oil sold for around $68.20 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.0080, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 47.9505, while one British pound traded for 55.3890 Turkish liras.
