ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,839.51 points, slightly falling 0.03% or 2.64 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 1.26% to close the day at 9,842.15 points, with a daily transaction volume of 94 billion liras ($2.61 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.9760 as of 09.55 am (0655GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.3370, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.7080.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,859.60 and the price of Brent crude oil was around $74.63 per barrel.
