Turkish stock exchange flat at open

BIST 100 index falls 2.86 points on Wednesday

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9.210,72 points, down 0.03% or 2.86 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 fell by 1.41% to 9,213.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 68 billion Turkish liras ($1.75 billion).

As of 10.20 a.m. local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.0640 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 44.2630 to the euro, and 52.7245 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,311.90, while Brent crude oil was trading at $63.90 per barrel.
