Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,567.76 points, down 0.47% or 45.08 points from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 lost 0.38%, closing at 9,612.84 points with a daily trading volume of 114.3 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
As of 9.49 am local time (0649GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 38.0150, the EUR/TRY rate was 41.0056, and the GBP/TRY rate was 49.2113.
The price of one ounce of gold was $3,122.24, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $73.22.
