Turkish stock exchange up at Friday open

BIST 100 index rises 13.91 points at opening session

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 9,352.49 points, up 0.15% or 13.91 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose 0.68% to close at 9,338.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 92 billion Turkish liras ($2.42 billion).

As of 09.02 am local time (0602GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.0629 liras to the US dollar, 42.9697 to the euro, and 49.4967 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,220.44, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.18 per barrel.
