BIST 100 index gains 9.3 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Tuesday at 9,635.86 points, up 0.1% or 9.3 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 index dropped by 1.01% to 9,626.56 points, with a daily transaction volume of 66.3 billion liras ($1.88 billion).

As of 10.10 am (0710GMT), the exchange rates stood at 35.2545 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 36.6570 for the euro, and 44.1920 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,621.80, and Brent crude oil traded at $72.70 per barrel.
