Turkish stock exchange up at open

BIST 100 index gains 13.7 points at opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index BIST 100 opened Friday at 9,962.71 points, up 0.14% or 13.7 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.33% to 9,949.01 points, with a daily transaction volume of 94 billion liras ($2.65 billion).

As of 10.10 am (0710GMT), the exchange rates stood at 35.2650 for the US dollar against the Turkish lira, 36.7130 for the euro, and 44.1690 for the British pound.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,637.30, and Brent crude oil traded at $72.80 per barrel.
