BIST 100 index gains around 64 points on Monday

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 9,419.94 points, up by 0.68% or 63.9 points from the previous close.

On Friday, the BIST 100 fell by 1.26% to 9,356.04 points, with a daily transaction volume of 87.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.23 billion).

As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.0170 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 44.5240 to the euro, and 53.0040 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,332.70, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.40 per barrel.
