Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open

BIST 100 index gains 47.08 points on Monday's opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,413.24 points, up 0.45% or 47.08 points from the previous close.

On Friday, the BIST 100 slightly fell by 0.04% to 10,366.16 points, with a daily transaction volume of 91 billion Turkish liras ($2.27 billion).

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.3925 liras to the US dollar, 47.0657 to the euro, and 54.3480 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,370.13, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.65 per barrel.
