BIST 100 index gains 26.35 points on Monday's opening bell

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Monday at 10,884.87 points, up 0.24% or 26.35 points from the previous close.

On Friday, the BIST 100 fell by 2.02% to 10,858.52 points, with a daily transaction volume of 127.4 billion Turkish liras ($3.05 billion).

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.6910 liras to the US dollar, 48.7920 to the euro, and 56.0605 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,932.75, after hitting an all-time high of $3,945.12, while Brent crude oil was trading at $65.20 per barrel.
