Turkish stock exchange up at weekly open

BIST 100 earns around 74.8 points on Monday

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock opened at 11.082,14 points on Monday, increasing 0.68% or 74.77 points.

On Friday, the BIST 100 was up 0.81% and closed at 11,007.37 points, with a daily transaction volume of 141 billion liras ($3.32 billion).

As of 10.30 am local time (0730GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.5490 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 49.6580 to the euro, and 55.7440 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,213.80, while Brent crude oil traded at $63.7 per barrel.
