Turkish stock market closes with new records on Tuesday

BIST 100 rises over 14 points to hit new record high closing

ANKARA (AA) - Turkiye's benchmark stock index Borsa Istanbul on Tuesday gained 0.6% to close at a new record high level of 2,463.76 points, after hitting a fresh intraday all-time high of 2,474.70 points.

Starting the day at 2,449.34 points, the BIST 100 index increased 14.65 points from Monday's close of 2,449.11 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,951.50 by market close, down from $1,965 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was trading at $105.16 per barrel for a 6.8% daily gain as of 6.05 p.m. local time (1505GMT).
