ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the midweek trading down 1.14% to close at 97,015.02 points on Wednesday.
After starting the day at 98,404.68 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 1,120.28 points from Tuesday's close of 98,135.30 points.
One ounce of gold was sold for $1,304.30 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets versus the previous close of $1,307.20.
A barrel of Brent oil was sold for $71.22 as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT) on Wednesday -- with a day range of $70.57 to $71.32.
At the beginning of 2019, the price of Brent oil was around $53 per barrel.
