Turkish stocks end Monday in red

BIST 100 index drops by 34 points from previous close

ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday on 4,997.80 points, down 0.68% from the previous close.

Starting the week at 5.064,79 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 34.18 points compared to last week's close.

The index's lowest value during the day was 4,997.80, while its daily high was 5,074.03.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.1 trillion Turkish liras ($213.7 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 46 billion Turkish liras ($2.4 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,976.70, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.32 per barrel as of 6.43 p.m. local time (1543GMT).
