ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the week up 0.58% to close at 99,768.15 points.
Starting the day at 100,401.42 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 575.12 points from 99,193.03 points at yesterday's close.
Turkey's benchmark stock index started Friday up 1.22% or 1,208.39 points to open at 100,401.42 points.
On the last trading day, the BIST 100 hovered between 99,678.32 points and 100,812.52 points -- 41 stocks on the index rose, 12 fell, and the remaining were flat compared to the previous close.
Closing the day with a market value of nearly 707 billion Turkish liras ($101 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 11.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.6 billion).
The price of Brent oil was $30.33 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Friday.
At the beginning of 2020, a barrel of Brent oil sold for around $31.49.
