ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 5.001,97 points on Wednesday, up 0.04%, or 1.83 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.85% to close Tuesday at 5,000.14 points, with a daily trading volume of 114 billion Turkish liras ($6.09 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.6401 as of 10.09 a.m. local time (0709GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.4888, while a British pound traded for 22.6047 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $79.53 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,785.70.
