ANKARA (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 5,257.05 points, falling 0.23%, or 12.26 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 5,269.31 points, down 3.77%.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 23.6380 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 25.8277 while a British pound traded for 30.1978 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $76.17 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,963.90.
